Our Camp at Rum Punch Creek

Our elevation at camp is 5300 feet.
Our camp facilities include a cooking / eating tent, campfire marque tent with seating, outhouse tent, guest wall tents, staff tents and shower enclsure.

Meals include a back country menu of hearty choices at the woodstove, on the campfire or along the trail. Vegetarians have found our menu very accommodating with a wide selection to satisfy their appetite.
Sleeping arrangements: 8x10 waterproof canvas wall tents that will accommodate a single or a couple comfortably. 6 feet high in center and we supply single cots and foamies.
During the day, average temperatures can range from 65 degrees fahrenheit, 19 degrees celcius, to 80 degrees fahrenheit, 27 degrees celcius.
Mountain weather can be unpredictable and will become much colder at night or at increased elevation.

Camp Location: Rum Punch Creek on Clearwater River
Itinerary
Day 1
Depart Calgary at 8:00 AM. Van transfer to trailhead.
Luggage and supplies loaded on mules.
Guests meet their horses.
6 hour ride with breaks / lunch. Ride to camp and arrive in time for dinner.
Day 2-4
Each day offers unique destination based on guests ability and weather conditions.
Options include "Lost Guide Lake", "Forty Mile Range", "Indian Head", "Christmas Tree" or "Forbidden Creek".
Day trips offer lots of riding, good food, and excellent photo opportunities. Trail lunch at destination and ample time for relaxing. Back to camp for dinner, campfire and lights out.

Day 5
Pack up by 9:30 AM and head back down the trail including lunch break. Return to Calgary by van.
